4 Bangla migrants held on way back home

Shillong, Jan 29: Five persons including four illegal Bangladeshi migrants, who came from Bangalore to return to Bangladesh, were apprehended by BSF near Indo-Bangla border in East Khasi Hills.

Upon interrogation, the arrested migrants hailing from Narayanganj in Bangladesh said they had illegally entered India a few months ago and were working as tailors in Bangalore.

They were caught while trying to cross over to Bangladesh at GRIEF morh in East Khasi Hills on January 28.

The arrested persons including the Indian national, who was driving the car carrying the illegal migrants, were handed over to Pynursla police station.
