4-yr-old girl goes missing in Shillong

Shillong, Sep 14: A four-year-old girl was reported missing from her home at Block-B, Rynjah, here from Sunday morning.

The child, Insaphira L Mawnai, disappeared from their yard around 8 am, according to the family, who first reported the matter to local Dong authorities and then lodged FIR at Rynjah police station.

The community leaders also joined the family in their efforts to locate the child.

East Khasi Hills police chief Vivek Syiem confirmed that the search operation is ongoing.

“All police stations have been instructed to be on the lookout for the missing girl,” he said.
