According to Padhuva police station in-charge Dinesh Sharma, the victims, all residents of Sohariya village under Shardanagar police limits, were on their way to the Karikot temple in neighbouring Bahraich district to attend a ‘mundan’ ceremony.

He said the accident occurred near a petrol pump in the Padhuva area when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn on the roadside.
