6th Meghalaya Games 2025: West Jaintia Hills stuns South West Garo Hills with 9-0 victory

Shillong, Jan 18: The 6th Meghalaya Games 2025 continued to thrill spectators at the Kiang Nangbah Football Stadium today with a series of intense boys under-17 football matches.  

In the opening clash, West Khasi Hills put on a solid performance to defeat Eastern West Khasi Hills 3-0. The second match showcased a dominant display by West Jaintia Hills, overpowering South West Garo Hills with an emphatic 9-0 victory.  

South West Khasi Hills also registered a notable triumph in the third match of the day, posting an 8-3 win against West Garo Hills. The final encounter saw East Jaintia Hills clinch a comfortable 3-0 win over North Garo Hills.  

The 6th Meghalaya Games 2025, which kicked off on January 16 and will continue until January 25, features more than 3,500 players competing in 29 disciplines, including four demonstration sports. Organizers expect the momentum to build further in the coming days, promising more action-packed matches and memorable sporting moments for fans and participants alike.
