Awareness on TB

Tura, Sept 6: An awareness programme on Tuberculosis was conducted by District TB Hospital Tura for the Social Works department at NEHU Tura Campus on Thursday.

Among total 40 participants in the programme, 30 came forward to give their sputum samples for examination.

The causes, transmission, symptoms, prevention among other critical information were also given along with a demonstration on cough etiquette so that TB would not spread from one person to another.

Students were asked to be cautious while a suggestion was made to hospital authorities and experts to conduct more such programmes.
