Champion Sangma in Anganwadi workers’ body

Shillong, Sept 9: Timely disbursement of salaries, adequate provision of supplies and resources necessary for proper functioning of Anganwadi centers, and improved facilities for workers and helpers were among the issues raised during a meeting of All Garo Hills AWW Workers’ and Helpers’ Federation at Tura on Saturday. 

One of the highlights of the meeting was appointment of former militant leader Champion R Sangma as advisor to executive committee of the Federation.

In his address, Sangma affirmed his commitment to work to achieving the common objectives and emphasised the need for unity and resilience in the face of challenges.
