Mega Cleanliness Drive to be held in Tura

Tura, Sept 23: A mega cleaning drive is being organized across West Garo Hills district on the 28th of this month by the district administration in tandem with the centre’s  Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti as part of the central government’s “Swachhata Hi Seva- 2024 (SHS)”.

It may be mentioned that the cleanliness drive will be organised in respective office premises, institutional buildings, commercial and market areas, educational institutions, public transport hubs, major roads and highways, sanctuaries, trekking and camping sites, water bodies and nallas, tourist spots, religious and spiritual places, legacy waste sites, cleaning and upgrading of community and public toilets, etc. Therefore, all the citizens of the district are requested to participate in the cleanliness drive on the above mentioned date at their respective places of work or localities, etc as mentioned.
