Demand for Purakhasia border town ATM

Tura, Oct 29: The ACHIK organization in Garo Hills met with Deputy Commissioner of South West Garo Hills district on Tuesday to submit a petition seeking installation of an ATM kiosk in the border town of Purakhasia.

Purakhasia is a town that connects Dalu and Salmanpara and people from the area are dependent on banking facilities from Dalu town which is a substantial distance away.

ACHIK leader Happynews R Marak pointed out in the petition that the border residents face immense hardships due to absence of banking facilities and have to travel frequently to other towns just to withdraw their own savings and it becomes extremely difficult during emrgency situations.
