Cooperative week concludes in GH

Baghmara, Nov 21: The 71st All India Cooperative Week concluded on a colourful note with various Cooperative workers and government departments taking part at Baghmara Baptist Church Hall.

The Deputy Commissioner of South Garo Hills District R.Yanthan said cooperative societies have become the backbone of many rural functions for many departments such as agriculture, housing and banking and stressed the role it plays in reaching out to different sections of the society. 

The Deputy Registrar of Cooperative Societies R N Rymbai also presented valuable insights on the importance of cooperative societies and its contribution in terms of  income generation for economically-backward societies.
