Shillong, Nov 27: Assembly Speaker Thomas A Sangma on Wednesday expressed happiness on the increase of women representatives in the House with the election of Chief Minister’s wife Dr Mehtab Chandee A Sangma as new Gambegre legislator.
” It is a great joy, happiness that we have the fourth lady legislator in our Meghalaya legislative Assembly,” Thomas said After administrating oath to Dr Mehtab.
“It is a proud moment for the people of Meghalaya and even for the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, so it was a great pleasure administrating, oath taking to the newly elected lady MLA,” he added.
