Suspected heroin and Yaba tablets seized in Garo Hills 

Tura, Jan 19: South West Garo Hills police have seized suspected heroin and yaba tablets from a drug dealer from Assam in Garo Hills on Sunday.

The contraband was intercepted at Ambari, along the state highway  SH-12 near a brick kiln factory in South West Garo Hills district.

The accused identified as Md Aktar Hussain (32yrs) hailing from Fekamari, Kanaimara,

of South Salmara, Mankachar, Assam, was entering Garo Hills on a Yamaha FZ motorcycle AS 17J 2814 when he was intercepted. From his possession police recovered 992 tablets of yaba (methamphetamine) tablets and two soap boxes suspected to contain heroin weighing 19.21 grams.
