Ex-MDC confident of comeback

Shillong, Feb 1: Former MDC Ricky Shullai has expressed confidence to win the KHADC elections to be held on February 21.

The nephew of BJP MLA Sanbor Shullai, Ricky had lost the contest at Laban-Mawprem by a margin of only 19 votes in 2019.

“Despite being defeated, I decided to continue with my social work and I have always been with the people of the constituency during the past six years and because of their love, I am confident to win in the coming elections,” the former MDC told reporters after filing his nomination papers at ISBT, Mawiong.

“Though I am a former MDC but to the people of the constituency, I am an MDC every day,” he said.

Highlighting the various issues faced by the people of the constituency, the former MDC assured to promote employment among the youth through the small scale industries.
