Governor lauds spiritual leader for contributions to society

Shillong, Feb 17: Governor CH Vijayashankar on Sunday welcomed Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai, a globally renowned spiritual leader and humanitarian, to the Raj Bhavan.

During the event, the Governor expressed deep gratitude to Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai for his unparalleled contributions to society, particularly in the fields of education, healthcare, and nutrition, which have uplifted countless lives across India and beyond. 

The Governor also acknowledged Sadguru’s recent collaboration with the Government of Assam to launch a transformative Morning Nutrition Programme, aimed at providing free, nutritious meals to school-going children. This initiative, which has benefited millions, underscores his unwavering commitment to public welfare.

In his address, Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai emphasized the importance of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (One World, One Family) and urged everyone to cultivate a spirit of service and compassion. His teachings and humanitarian initiatives continue to inspire individuals to work for the betterment of society. Sadguru ji also had a meeting with Vijay Kumar Mantri, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary MBOSE. They discussed to start a daily nutritious Meal initiative for approx 10,000 school going children of Meghalaya. Sadguru ji also Praised Meghalaya state for it’s natural beauty and medicinal plants and planning to contribute in the medical sector of Meghalaya as well.

The event at Raj Bhavan also witnessed a cultural program by Geetanjali Dance Academy. The Governor extended his heartfelt appreciation to Sadguru Sri Madhusudan Sai for his invaluable contributions and his visit to Meghalaya, which will be cherished as a moment of spiritual and social inspiration.
