Shillong, Apr 25: The University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) has signed an MoU with the University Grants Commission (UGC) in which the UGC has agreed to share UGC-NET scores with USTM for use in admission into PhD courses, stated a press release.

As per the MoU signed by UGC secretary Prof Manish R Joshi and USTM registrar Anju Hazarika, the UGC will provide USTM with essential details of NET-qualified candidates, which will help USTM verify the authenticity of applicants’ credentials for PhD admission.

Hailing the UGC gesture, USTM chancellor Mahbubul Hoque said, “We feel honoured as the UGC has partnered with us in our continued commitment to excellence in research and development.”
