Book compiled by students released at APS Shillong

Shillong, Apr 27: A book titled “Meghalaya Through the Prism of the Youth”, a collaborative effort of students and teachers of Army Public School Shillong  was released by tourism minister Paul Lyngdoh on Friday.

In his address, Lyngdoh applauded the creative synergy behind the project and emphasized its value as a symbol of unity, learning, and exploration.

Conceptualised by Brig Sandeep Dhupar, chairman of Army Public School Shillong, the book explores the serene landscapes of Meghalaya and brings to light the lesser-known destinations that lie beyond the tourist trail.

It is a compilation primarily by students of APS Shillong, based on their field trips.

The event also featured a cultural programme that showcased traditional Khasi, Jaintia and Garo performances.

Lt Gen Sanjay Malik SM, GOC 101 Area and senior patron of APS Shillong; Ms Nivedita Malik, Zonal President, AWWA, HQ101 Area; Maj Gen (Retd) Rajesh Kumar Jha, Director (Personnel) NEEPCO; Brig Pawan Bhardwaj, Patron APS Shillong; and Brig Sandeep Dhupar, Chairman, APS Shillong were among present on the occasion.
