Over 700 students to appear in exams to be held in 76 centres
Shillong, April 30: The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) Supplementary Examination 2025 will be held from May 1 to 8 with over 7,000 candidates set to write the exams across the state.
Altogether 7,085 of total 8,918 eligible students have registered for the exams to be held in 76 centres – 49 in Khasi-Jaintia Hills and 27 in Garo Hills.
The registration rate stands at 79.44%, reflecting the determination of many students to continue their academic journey without losing a year.

Of those registered, 2,235 students hail from Khasi-Jaintia Hills while 4,850 are from Garo Hills region.
SSLC Supplementary Examination serves as a second chance for students who did not clear the regular SSLC exams held earlier this year.
In the results declared by Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBoSE), 41,275 of total 51,560 students cleared the hurdle with a pass percentage of about 80%. This left 8,918 students eligible for the supplementary round.
The Board has assured that results of Supplementary Exam will be declared within May itself, enabling successful candidates to enroll in higher secondary institutions without delay.
Commissioner and secretary (Education) Vijay Kumar Mantri in a congratulatory message to the students said, “The Education Department wishes all the best to all the students appearing for the SSLC Supplementary Examination, 2025.”
