Shillong, May 28: One Strongman Kharbani has been in been sentenced to seven years of rigorous imprisonment for sexually assaulting a minor.
The case in this connection was registered with Mawsynram police station in 2019.
Besides the jail term, the POCSO special judge MK Lyngdoh also ordered Kharbani to pay a fine of Rs 50,000, and in default of fine, further imprisonment of six months, stated a release from East Khasi Hills police.
