Two militants arrested in Manipur

Imphal, Sep 1: Manipur Police have arrested two militants belonging to the banned PREPAK (PRO) outfit in separate operations in Imphal East and West districts, an official statement said on Monday.

The arrests were made in Takhel Awang Leikai in Imphal East district and Khongampat Mantri Leikai in Imphal West district on Sunday, it said.

Meanwhile, security forces, during an operation at Kanto Sabal in Imphal West district on Saturday, seized three grenades, 53 cartridges of different calibres and a material suspected to be an improvised explosive device, the statement added. (PTI)
