Me·gong Festival parking fees ceiling at ₹150 for cars and ₹50 for bikes

Tura, Dec 2: Parking fees for vehicles for the up coming Me·gong Festival 2025, scheduled to be held on 5th and 6th December 2025 at Bolbokgre–Watregre under Jengjal Civil Sub-Division has been given a uniform rate of ₹150 for light motor vehicles and ₹50 for two-wheelers per day, declared West Garo Hills district administration.

In the interest of public convenience and to maintain uniformity in parking rates across all festival locations, the District Magistrate has informed all private landowners who are offering their land for use as Parking Spaces during the festival to strictly adhere to the notified parking fees.

The directive aims to prevent overcharging, ensure smooth traffic flow, and provide a standardised parking experience for the large number of attendees expected at the festival. All private parking area owners associated with Me·gong Festival 2025 have been instructed to comply with the fixed rates.

The District Magistrate has also directed concerned authorities—including the Superintendent of Police, Traffic Police, District Transport Officer, and festival officials—to take necessary action for implementation and monitoring of the order.
