Samantha Ruth Prabhu teases collaboration with Sony LIV Tamil for new project

Chennai, Jul 4: Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu on Saturday announced a collaboration with Sony LIV Tamil, teasing an upcoming project with the streaming platform.

In a statement, the OTT platform said the collaboration marks the beginning of a new association with the actor and that more information will be announced at a later date.

Samantha, known for films such as “Ye Maaya Chesave”, “Eega”, “Mersal”, “Super Deluxe”, “Majili” and “Kushi”, said she is looking forward to revealing the project soon.

“This year has reminded me to embrace change, trust the journey and welcome new beginnings. I’m so happy to be starting this new chapter with Sony LIV Tamil. We’ve been working on something really exciting, and I’m looking forward to sharing it with all of you very soon,” the actor said.

Samantha was most recently seen in “Maa Inti Bangaaram”, an action drama from filmmaker Nandini Reddy. The movie, which released in June last week, has received unanimous praise from the critics and earned over Rs 85 crores at the global box office.

Last month, the actor announced that she is expecting her first child with filmmaker-husband Raj Nidimoru and will soon take a “maternity break”.

Samantha’s upcoming projects include the fantasy action series “Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom”, created by Raj & DK for Netflix. (PTI)
