Centre committed to working for the future of next generation, says BJP Meghalaya

Shillong, July 26: The Bharatiya Janata Party on Sunday said Dharmendra Pradhan resigned on his own and not under any pressure, asserting that the decision was taken to ensure “anti-national and outside forces” do not take advantage of the situation.

In a statement issued by BJP Meghalaya Pradesh Spokesperson Arnab Das, the party said the Central Government remains sympathetic to students and is committed to working for the future of the next generation.

“The aim was to prevent anti national and outside forces from taking advantage of the situation,” the statement said.

The party further said the government is prepared to bring in systemic changes in the education sector that were “long ignored by previous Governments.”
According to the statement, the process of examinations will be made “water tight and easier.”

Taking a swipe at opposition-ruled states, the BJP alleged that paper leaks have occurred recently in non-BJP states such as Karnataka and Jammu and Kashmir, but “no one took moral responsibility.”
