Ajay Devgn’s ‘Drishyam’ is now retitled as ‘Drishyam: The Conclusion’

New Delhi, Aug 24: Bollywood star Ajay Devgn on Monday announced that the third “Drishyam” film is now retitled as “Drishyam: The Conclusion” and it will release on October 2.

The movie, a Hindi adaptation of Mohanlal-starrer Malayalam drama of the same name, features Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar, a common man who goes to extreme length to protect his family after an accidental death.

The third part of the Malayalam version with Mohanlal released in May and is already a major success.

The actor unveiled the poster of the movie on his social media accounts with the caption “Har insaan ka nazariya alag hota hai… mere liye meri family hi sab kuch hai. (Everyone has a different perspective… for me, my family is everything.) #DrishyamTheConclusion in cinemas 2nd October.”

The Hindi version is directed by Abhishek Pathak, who also directed the previous part, backed by Star Studio18 and Panorama Studios.

Tabu, Rajat Kapoor and Shriya Saran reprise their roles while Prakash Raj and Jaideep Ahlawat are the new cast members.

“Drishyam”, released in 2015, was adapted from the original 2013 Malayalam-language crime thriller, which was written and directed by Jeethu Joseph.

The thriller has been officially remade in seven languages, including Tamil and Telugu. (PTI)
