Imphal, Sep 11: Security forces have arrested three militants belonging to different proscribed outfits in Manipur, a police statement said on Friday.
All the three militants were arrested on Thursday, police said.
An active cadre of the United National Liberation Front (UNLF) was apprehended during a search operation at Kharou Khullen in Tengnoupal district. He has been identified as 26-year-old N Suresh Singh and is a resident of Heirok in Thoubal district.
An active member of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) was apprehended, following intelligence inputs by Assam Rifles, from Khabeisoi in Imphal East district. He has been identified as M Sanathoi Meitei and was allegedly involved in recruiting new cadre of the outfit, the statement said.
A 43-year-old insurgent of Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) was apprehended from Ithai Kumbi in Kumbi police station area in Bishnupur district. (PTI)
