Guru Randhawa to stage first-ever solo stadium concert

New Delhi, Oct 14: After a three-year hiatus from live touring, Punjabi artist Guru Randhawa is returning to stage with his first-ever solo stadium concert, the organisers announced on Wednesday.

Dubbed The Sirra Era Live in Concert, the one-night-only event is scheduled to take place on December 12 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.

Produced by Saregama Live in association with Rhythms and Warner Music India, the event serves as Randhawa’s first major live engagement in the capital city since 2023.

“Taking a step back from touring was a planned pause, but standing here now, ready to step into a stadium, is incredibly surreal. My fans have been the absolute bedrock of this amazing journey, holding me up through every high and every low,” Randhawa said in a statement.

“This show isn’t about me alone, it’s my humble thank-you note to the people who built me. I wanted this homecoming to happen exactly where it all started, looking out at a stadium full of the faces who changed my life, and giving that love and respect straight back to my day ones,” he added.

The singer, known for hits such as “Lahore”, “High Rated Gabru” and “Suit Suit”, also took to Instagram to announce the concert.

The organisers said the concert would feature large-scale audiovisual production and immersive sound, with plans to incorporate environmentally conscious practices wherever feasible.

Tickets for the show will be available exclusively on District By Zomato. (PTI)
