Another Independent files nomination for Gambegre

Tura, Oct 23: Another Independent candidate has filed his nomination papers on Wednesday for the Gambegre bypolls making him the second candidate to do so, in the last three days, since the filing of nominations began.

Aspirant to the Gambegre throne, Jerry A Sangma filed his papers before the returning officer on Wednesday afternoon.

“I have seen the condition of Gambegre because I am also a local from there. There are three major issues plaguing Gambegre that I intend to take up on a priority basis if elected. Proper health facilities, better education facilities and good roads. Without these three crucial requirements development cannot happen,” said Jerry A Sangma while interacting with the media shortly after filing his nomination papers.

Earlier on Tuesday, Sengkrabirth Marak was the first candidate to file his nomination papers as an Independent.
