ANTF seizes over 10,000 Yaba tablets, one held

Shillong, Sept 4: A man was arrested on Thursday by the Anti-Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) in connection with the seizure of over 10,000 Yaba tablets in Shillong.

Labius Aregh, the brother-in-law of a hotel owner at Lapalang was arrested following lead given by one Salnang M Sangma, who was arrested along with 6,000 Yaba tablets from a Renault Duster (ML05 R 6828) at Sawlad Madanrting on Wednesday night, police said.

Further investigation has led to the seizure of 4000 more Yaba tablets from the hotel, they said.

Aregh is currently in police custody.

A case has been registered and investigation is underway to uncover more details about the case.
