Bangladeshi handler arrested in EKH

Shillong, Sept 2: A Bangladeshi handler was arrested by the BSF during a special operation in collaboration with Meghalaya police from the Indo-Bangla border in East Khasi Hills district on Saturday. 

The individual, identified as Mohd Mijan Mia (49 years), is a resident of Sunamganj district, Bangladesh.

During initial questioning, Mia disclosed that he was facilitating the illegal entry of Bangladeshi nationals into India and engaging in smuggling activities. He has been handed over to Dangar police station for further investigation and legal proceedings.
