BJP flags concern over girl’s death, reposes faith in state police

Shillong, Sept 15: The state BJP has expressed deep concern over the death of a 4-year-old who went missing from her home in Nongrah Nonglum.

The party’s chief Spokesperson, Mariahom Kharkrang, extended condolences to the bereaved family, terming the loss of a young child as heart-wrenching.

While acknowledging the mysterious circumstances surrounding the disappearance and subsequent death of Insaphira Lyngdoh Mawnai, the BJP Meghalaya expressed full faith in the state’s police force to uncover the truth.

“Over time, the state’s police force has demonstrated its professionalism, motivation and investigative prowess by solving many difficult cases. The cracking of the recent, nationally famous, Raja Raghuvanshi murder case bears testimony to the state Police’s expertise. We wish the Meghalaya Police speedy success in its investigation and pray that the little one’s soul rests in peace,” Kharkrang stated.
