Children’s Day at Raj Bhavan

Foundation Day of Uttarakhand, Jharkhand also celebrated 

Shillong, Nov 15: Governor CH Vijayashankar stressed the need to nurture talents and dreams of young minds to shape a better future for the nation.

Attending a special event at the Raj Bhavan on Thursday to mark the occasion of Children’s Day, the governor in his address expressed admiration for the young minds of the country, emphasizing the importance of education, creativity, and a healthy environment for children’s overall development. 

He highlighted that children are the pillars of our tomorrow, and it is our collective responsibility to provide them with the opportunities and resources to thrive.

The day also saw the celebration of the Foundation Day of Uttarakhand and Jharkhand. 

The governor extended his wishes to the people of both the states celebrating the rich history, culture, and achievements of these states since their formation. He also highlighted the remarkable progress both states have made in various sectors, from infrastructure to education, and commended the leadership and citizens for their continued dedication to development.

The celebration was attended by dignitaries, officials, and a large number of school children, who actively participated in cultural performances and other engaging activities that showcased their talents.
