Shillong, Mar 27: The state cabinet has authorised chief minister Conrad K Sangma to brief governor CH Vijayashankar on the Supreme Court order to dissolve Chander Mohan Jha (CMJ) University before the cabinet’s final decision on the matter.
The state government will take a final call on winding up CMJ University after the chief minister’s meeting with the governor, who is chancellor of the university, said cabinet minister and government spokesperson Paul Lyngdoh after the cabinet meeting on Wednesday.
“The discussion today will be carried on in the first cabinet meeting to be held in the month of April,” he added.
