Guwahati, June 30: In a bold digital push to hold the Assam government accountable, the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) on Monday launched an online grievance redressal platform called “ASSAM JUSTICE”, aimed at giving citizens a direct channel to report issues and demand action.
Unveiled in a high-profile event attended by Opposition Leader Debabrata Saikia, senior MLAs, and party functionaries including Zakir Hussain Shikder, Diganta Barman, Wazed Ali Choudhury, Aftabuddin Molla, and Mahila Congress president Mira Barthakur, the portal is being pitched as a “digital bridge” between the people and the opposition.

The site—www.assamjustice.com—promises to empower citizens to submit complaints on governance failures, infrastructure issues, irregularities in Panchayati Raj institutions, and breakdowns in health, education, and sanitation services.
“Governments have been hiding behind digital PR. We’re turning the tables,” said Saikia at the launch. “This platform will amplify the public voice and confront the government with its own failures.” He added that the portal, inspired by Rahul Gandhi’s vision for citizen-centric governance, would serve as a tool to collect grievances and forward them to the concerned departments while pressing for quick resolutions.
“This is not a helpline—it’s a spotlight,” Saikia said. “We’re not here to replace government services but to expose where and how they’re failing.”
According to party leaders, the Congress will closely monitor complaints received through the portal and use them as a basis for political and legal pressure. They emphasized that the platform is open to all citizens, regardless of political affiliation, and will cover a wide range of issues from roads to public health.

The party is also framing the initiative as part of a larger movement for transparency, justice, and citizen rights in Assam—a sharp jab at the ruling BJP, which it accuses of ignoring ground-level problems.
With the 2026 state elections in sight, the Congress seems to be sharpening its digital strategy, turning public frustration into political ammunition—and “ASSAM JUSTICE” could become its new weapon of choice.
