The nine-year-old girl was “victimised” in Muzaffarpur district on May 26 and was brought to the Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in a critical condition on May 30, the National Human Rights Commission said in a statement on Monday.

The NHRC said that the content of the news report, if true, raises a serious issue of violation of human rights.

Therefore, the Commission has issued notices to the chief secretary and the director general of police of Bihar, seeking a detailed report in two weeks, it said.
