Shillong, Aug 1: West Jaintia Hills police busted a drug racket and arrested two persons while in the lookout for more culprits from Assam and Meghalaya.
Police first detained one Kmenlang Dkhar with 12.33 grams of heroin while he was travelling from Kalain, Assam to Jowai.
Based on his interrogation, the police arrested a Jowai-based drug dealer identified as Rudy Sutnga, who financed the seized heroin.
Meanwhile, efforts are on to arrest other individuals involved in the case from Assam and Meghalaya.
