Drugs worth ₹8.5 cr destroyed

Shillong, Jan 23: Seized illegal drugs valued at ₹8.5 crore has been destroyed by incineration as part of a Drug Disposal Campaign here on Wednesday.

The initiative was jointly taken by Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs and Commissionerate of Customs (Preventive), Shillong.

The incineration was carried out in a secure and environmentally responsible manner, ensuring that these harmful substances are permanently removed from circulation, stated a press release.
