Ex-MLA among others join Congress

Tura, Nov 2: A week after facing defeat at the hands of the ruling NPP in the Gambegre assembly by-poll, the Congress in Garo Hills received some consolation after several Trinamool leaders, including two Ex-MLAs, joined the party in Tura on Monday.

Former legislator and minister Adolf Lu Hitler Marak from Rangsakona and ex-MLA of Selsella Smt. Ferlin C A Sangma, who was with the BJP, joined the Congress in the presence of Congress working president Deborah C Marak.

Others who joined the party included former GHADC MDCs, Sengnal N Sangma,  Silgra N Marak, Lithindro Sangma, Widnald D Marak and Mahamsing M Sangma. Regional UDP party leader Pilne A Sangma also joined the Congress.
