Expert Committee on Reservation Policy to meet stakeholders

Shillong, Oct 2: A public hearing is organized by the Expert Committee on the State Reservation Policy at Shillong, Tura and Williamnagar from October 3 onwards.

This was informed through a notice issued by the Chairman of the Expert Committee on the State Reservation Policy in the state of Meghalaya Justice Mool Chand Garg (Retd) to stakeholders last month.

In pursuant to all the representations/consultations/suggestions/comments, the committee will be holding the public hearings in Shillong from October 3rd to 5th and at Tura and Williamnagar from 21st to 25th of October. 

As per the notice of the Experts Committee, the hearings in Shillong are to take place at the State Convention Centre from 9 AM to 1 pm and again from 2 to 6 PM.

The details of the public hearings at Tura and Williamnagar are to be intimated at a later date, mentioned the notice.

The committee has requested stakeholders to attend the public hearing on October 3 from 9 am onwards and to bring relevant documents in support of their respective petitions.
