When the fire team arrived at the spot they found no one in the house. They managed to put the fire out.

“On inspection of the house it was found that the cause of the fire breakout was due to poor faulty wiring and no foul play is suspected,” informed East Garo Hills SP S A Rynjah.

With mischief makers trying to create a false story on the issue, the police chief warned that anyone found taking advantage of the fire incident with a view to create law and order and communal disharmony would be severely dealt with as per the law.
