Five arrested for hurling petrol bomb

Shillong, Aug 12: The Laitumkhrah Police on Sunday arrested five individuals in connection with the hurling of a petrol bomb on the bust of JN Bawri in the early hours of Sunday.

Miscreants had hurled a petrol bomb at the bust in Dhankheti and also pelted stones at an ATM booth in the area.

“Five accused persons have been arrested in connection with the case,” East Khasi Hills SP, Sylvester Nongtnger, said.

Following their inquiries and collection of evidence, five suspects were apprehended in connection with the attack.

The police have not yet released the names of the arrested individuals, but they are continuing their investigation to determine the motive behind the attack.
