Four militants arrested in Manipur

Imphal, Aug 1: Four militants belonging to different proscribed outfits were arrested from three districts of Manipur, police said on Saturday.

Kangleipak Communist Party member Khunthoklemba Oinam (30) was arrested in Imphal West district on Friday for his involvement in lobbing a hand grenade at a house at Yumnam Leikai on July 28, an official said.

The same day, security forces arrested a cadre of PREPAK (PRO) identified as Ningthoujam Nanao Meitei (41) in Imphal East district.

Moreover, two members of PREPAK were apprehended near the India-Myanmar border in Tengnoupal district on Thursday, police added. (PTI)
