Golf can enhance the state’s tourism appeal: Guv 

Shillong, Dec 2: Governor C H Vijayashankar lauded the Shillong Golf Club for promoting Shillong as a golfing destination during the Governor’s Golf Cup and Award Ceremony held in Shillong on Sunday. 

The event, hosted at the scenic Golf Links, brought together golf enthusiasts and dignitaries to celebrate the sport’s spirit and camaraderie.

In his address, the Governor lauded the participants for their enthusiasm and skill, emphasizing the role of sports in fostering discipline, unity, and wellness. 

The ceremony concluded with the Governor presenting awards to the tournament’s winners, applauding their remarkable performances. 

He reiterated the importance of events like these in strengthening community bonds and inspiring excellence in sports. 

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, underscoring Shillong’s reputation as a premier golfing hub in the North East.
