Kim Sae-ron dead at 24; Police confirm suicide

New Delhi, Feb 17: South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron, who was seen in 2023 hit Bloodhounds, has tragically passed away at the age of 24 on Sunday.

South Korean authorities on Monday confirmed that the actress died by suicide. The 24-year-old, known for her performances in A Brand New Life and The Man From Nowhere, was discovered dead in her Seoul home on Sunday.

According to Yonhap news agency, no suicide note was found at the scene.

The police were alerted at around 5 p.m. KST on Sunday, after a friend who was scheduled to meet Sae-ron arrived at her home and found her deceased. The authorities have indicated that there were no indications of foul play, including no signs of forced entry.

A police spokesperson said, “There were no signs of crime, including break-ins, and we are investigating the exact circumstances of her passing.”

The authorities have asked for public understanding and respect for the privacy of her family, urging people to refrain from speculating on the specifics of her death, which remains under investigation. (Agencies)
