Locally manufactured sanitary pads for women launched on Meghalaya Day

Baghmara, Jan 21: The 53rd Meghalaya Statehood Day was celebrated in a unique way in South Garo Hills with special emphasis on women’s health by celebrating the launch of locally manufactured sanitary pads to mark this historic day.

The Re’king Sanitary Pads, owned and managed by the Dabram Integrated Village Cooperative Society in Baghmara, was officially launched by South Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Richard Yanthan, IAS, in the presence of ADC Smt. Shelley Ch Momin and others at a special programme in Baghmara Circuit House, attended by officers, government employees, beneficiaries from IBDP and others.

Expressing immense happiness in celebrating the 53rd Statehood Day, Deputy Commissioner Yanthan said that South Garo Hills stands as a beacon of progress and unity within our State while adding that we have always stood together as one state to build a peaceful prosperous and inclusive Meghalaya for future generations.
