Meghalaya Games 2025: EK Hills dominate women’s football with 11-2 triumph

Shillong, Jan 17: Exciting football action continued at the Kiang Nangbah Stadium in Jowai on Day 1 of the Women Senior Category in the 6th Meghalaya Games 2025.  

In the first match, East Khasi Hills put on a commanding performance, securing an 11-2 win against North Garo Hills. West Garo Hills followed up with a 4-0 victory over South Garo Hills. In a tighter contest, East Jaintia Hills edged out East Garo Hills by 2-1. The final match of the day ended with South West Khasi Hills beating West Khasi Hills 1-0.  

The 6th Meghalaya Games 2025, which began on January 16, will run until January 25. The formal inauguration is scheduled for January 20, featuring over 3500 athletes competing in 29 disciplines, including four demonstration sports.
