In a statement, Jakgrik Momin, president of North Garo Hills District YPC, emphasized the adverse impact of fuel price hikes on various segments of society.

“Daily wage earners, students, small-scale traders, and the underprivileged are the worst affected. The sharp escalation in fuel and cooking gas prices has exacerbated economic hardship and widened inequality, especially in rural and semi-urban areas,” he said.
