Shillong, Apr 11: The Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress (MPYC) has expressed its concern over unabated rise in prices of essential commodities, particularly petrol, diesel, and LPG, which has affected the people across the state.

In a statement, Jakgrik Momin, president of North Garo Hills District YPC, emphasized the adverse impact of fuel price hikes on various segments of society.
“Daily wage earners, students, small-scale traders, and the underprivileged are the worst affected. The sharp escalation in fuel and cooking gas prices has exacerbated economic hardship and widened inequality, especially in rural and semi-urban areas,” he said.
