National Lok Adalat held

Shillong, Sept 15: A total of 776 pre-litigation cases and 409 pending cases were taken up for settlement in the National Lok Adalat held on Saturday. 

Out of the total number of cases taken up, 292 cases were settled for a total amount 

of Rs 1,50,43,766, informed E Kharumnuid, member secretary of the Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority.

The Meghalaya State Legal Services Authority organised the National Lok Adalat on Saturday in all the districts of the state, under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority.
