Panel to assess condition of weighbridges, weigh pads

Shillong, Oct 15: The Meghalaya High Court has ordered constitution of a committee with three members to assess the present condition and functionality of weighbridges and weigh pads across the state.

The high court issued the order while hearing a PIL filed by social activist Tenny Dard M Marak, alleging significant revenue losses due to malfunctioning and inadequate weighbridge facilities.
