Parents-management meet: PA Sangma parents’ health card launched at USTM

Shillong, May 24: The University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) hosted a grand parents-management meet in keeping with the university’s silver jubilee year on Saturday.

Parents from across the North East attended the occasion marked by an engaging interaction with USTM chancellor Mahbubul Hoque, stated a press release.

“At our University, we not only focus on academic excellence but also emphasise character-building, innovation, and holistic development,” he said.

The function also marked the official launch of the PA Sangma International Medical College and Hospital Parents’ Health Card, which will enhance access to medical care for parents. “This health care will help the parents of USTM to avail special facilities,” Hoque said.

Prof Marie Mc Andrew from University of Montreal, Canada was a special guest on the occasion, which was also addressed by vice-chancellor Prof GD Sharma, registrar Anju Hazarika, and academic registrar Dr Azmol H Barbhuiya.
