Philippines delegation visits Governor

Shillong, Mar 27: Josel F. Ignacio, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to India, along with Roger Silva and Melasa, representatives from the Philippines, paid a courtesy visit to Raj Bhavan on Wednesday.

The delegation was received by Dr. B.D.R.Tiwari, Commissioner and Secretary to the Governor of Meghalaya. 

During the interaction, discussions were held on strengthening bilateral relations between the North East, especially Meghalaya and the Philippines, with a particular focus on fostering trade, tourism, education, and cultural exchanges. 

The visit underscored the growing diplomatic engagement between India and the Philippines and reaffirmed Meghalaya’s commitment to fostering international partnerships.
