Plant under CM Solar Mission opens at MSPCB

Shillong, Dec 11: Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma on Thursday inaugurated installation of solar panels under CM Solar Mission at Meghalaya State Pollution Control Board (MSPCB).

“We want to ensure that all government offices, homes, schools, and health centers have some sort of clean energy and solar energy backup available,” Sangma told reporters.

Informing that solar panels, inverters, and batteries to store energy are provided under CM Solar Mission, the Chief Minister said, “We are giving a full solution and not just a piece meal solution.”

Expressing satisfaction with the project, he said, “I hope that this will support the overall energy requirement here.”

He also praised the Board for leading by example, saying, “MSPCB is leading by example to ensure that they are using clean energy and motivate other organizations to also do the same.”
