President Murmu pays tribute to B R Ambedkar on his birth anniversary

Gandhinagar, Apr 14: President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday paid homage to Dr B R Ambedkar on his 135th birth anniversary at Lok Bhavan in Gandhinagar.

Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, was born on April 14, 1891, at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh, and died on December 6, 1956.

“President Droupadi Murmu paid floral tributes to Babasaheb Dr B R Ambedkar on his birth anniversary at Lok Bhavan, Gandhinagar, Gujarat,” an official release said.

Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat also paid homage to Ambedkar on the occasion, it added. (PTI)
